About Blue
Blue Education supports ambitious students and families through high-quality academic planning, tutoring, admissions preparation, personal development and career-related guidance. We work closely with students, parents and tutors to help each student reach their full potential.
We are looking for a Mandarin-speaking Student Success Advisor to join our London team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with students and parents, takes pride in excellent service, and wants to build a long-term career in the education services industry.
The Role
The Student Success Advisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth, high-quality experience for students and families at Blue Education. You will act as a key point of contact between students, parents, tutors and internal teams, helping to coordinate learning plans, track progress, communicate feedback and maintain strong client relationships.
This is not a simple administrative role. It requires strong organisation, clear communication, emotional maturity and the ability to follow through on details in a fast-paced environment. As many students and parents are most available outside standard school or working hours, the role requires flexibility, including regular weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate students’ courses, tutoring schedules, progress updates and follow-up actions.
Support tutoring and student service delivery during weekends where required.
Track student learning progress, attendance, homework completion, assessment results and tutor feedback.
Communicate regularly with students, parents and tutors to ensure everyone is aligned on goals, progress and next steps.
Prepare clear and professional updates for parents in Mandarin and/or English.
Maintain accurate student records, communication logs and action trackers.
Identify early signs of risk, such as missed sessions, low engagement, tutor mismatch, parent concerns or declining student performance.
Work closely with tutors and internal consultants to adjust learning plans where needed.
Support a high standard of client service by responding to questions, concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Help maintain strong relationships with existing families, supporting client satisfaction, retention and renewals.
Escalate complaints or complex cases appropriately while helping to resolve issues constructively.
Contribute to internal process improvements, service templates and student progress tracking systems.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Native or fluent Mandarin, with strong written and spoken English.
1–3 years of relevant work experience in education services, customer service, client success, account management, hospitality, tutoring operations, admissions support or another client-facing role.
Strong written communication skills, especially when explaining progress, concerns and next steps to parents.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and reliable with follow-up.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with students, parents, tutors and internal teams.
Calm, professional and solution-focused when handling pressure or complaints.
Genuine interest in education, student development and long-term client relationships.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Willing and able to work weekends regularly as part of the role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desirable
Experience working with Chinese-speaking families or international students.
Experience in tutoring centres, education consultancies, schools, universities, admissions services or student support teams.
Familiarity with the UK education system, university admissions or academic tutoring.
Experience using CRM systems, student trackers or project management tools.
Education, TESOL, English, Psychology or related degree background.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You will likely enjoy this role if you:
Care about helping young people grow and develop.
Enjoy building long-term relationships with families.
Are comfortable following up with students, parents and tutors.
Notice details and take ownership without needing to be chased.
Can communicate difficult feedback politely and professionally.
Are comfortable with weekend work and understand that student and parent availability often falls outside standard office hours.
Want to learn more about premium education consulting and student success.
This role may not be suitable if you are looking for a low-pressure administrative role, a short-term graduate job, a Monday-to-Friday-only role, or a role with limited client communication.
Career Development
This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in education services, student success, client relationship management and academic programme coordination. High-performing team members may progress into senior student success, education consulting, operations or client relationship leadership roles.
